"Sugar and spice and everything nice..."
But there is also so much more.
The good news: STEM resources are becoming more accessible for girls. Schools are adopting STEM programs, independent organizations are offering opportunities like coding camps, and universities are admitting more female students into their STEM programs than ever before.
The bad news: many girls still do not have access to these resources until their teen or preteen years, and we believe that is too late. Our STEM Girls Books are picture books for ages 3-8, designed to show how a child's natural curiosity and creativity can lead to fun and exciting career possibilities in STEM - long before self doubt and stereotypes begin pushing girls away from these fields. This intro video summarizes everything that STEM Girls Books is about. Together, we can inspire little girls to dream big! |
